Mackenzie Half Marathon 2023

The 4th Annual Mackenzie Half Marathon takes place on Saturday 15th July 2023. Participating in one of the four events is a fantastic way to explore the stunning Fairlie basin, the Gateway to the Mackenzie. 

Starting from the Village Green in the heart of Fairlie, the four running/walking events (2.5km fun run, 5.5 km, 10 km and 21.1km) cater for all levels of ability and fitness. 

Start times will be staggered throughout the morning to ensure entrants can support each other.

The Mackenzie Half Marathon, the headline event, kicks off at 9:30am for participants with an estimated race time of over three hours, and 10:00am for everyone else. This exciting course includes river walkway tracks, river crossings and views that will take your breath away…. unless the hill climb does it beforehand!

​The 10km ‘River Dip’ starts at 11am, followed by the 5.5km ‘Flat Jack’ at 11:15am. We end the day with the Hole in One 2.5km at 12:45pm. 

​The Flat Jack does not include a river crossing, but wet feet may still be on the menu if there has been a lot of rain as the river track can get quite puddly!

The Mackenzie Half Marathon is one of the few Winter events of the year, ensuring that you keep your fitness up during the colder months.
