February brings us American Heart Month, Valentine's Day & the opportunity to continue the resolutions we made in January to improve our wellness & fitness in 2023!

Isle of Wight is a community with huge heart - one that loves their coast & loves their neighbors. Join us this February 18th, as we come together to show our love for our health & community!  This is the first ever 5k on the island and we would love a huge turn out! We hope you will sign up to participate and will invite a friend or neighbor to join us too! This race is for the entire community and both members & non-members of the club are welcome!

This race is hosted by the Isle of Wight Country Club - a small community club whose members live on or nearby to Isle of Wight. It serves as our first major fundraiser for 2023 and the proceeds will support the upkeep of the club, the addition of new programs and our outreach within the community. Your participation & support is greatly appreciated and we can't wait to come together as a community with heart for this inaugural event!

For those looking to register and pay via credit card, please use this site for easy online registration and secure payment. Offline registration is available for those looking to pay by cash or check. Email [email protected] for assistance or ask a club board member for help. We will have paper registration forms for those paying with cash or check available at all upcoming club events as well. 

Early bird registration costs $25.00 and is available until midnight Sunday, February 5th.Early bird registrants will receive a race shirt in the size of their choice.  February 5th - registration onsite the day of the race will be at the normal race rate of $35.00. Shirts will be available to these participants in limited sizes while supplies last. Additional shirts may be available for non-racers during the event. 

In addition to race participation, there are three sponsorship options available: 

1. Platinum Level - $250 cash donation combined with in kind donation. In kind donations requested include coffee, sports drinks, bottled water, fruits, bagels, DJ, beer/wine samples/tasting post race, etc. All platinum sponsors receive 2 complimentary entries to the race, prominent placement on the race t-shirt & banner, promotion on social media pages throughout the community and within the club's member communications. Platinum sponsors also have the ability to add something to the race swag bag and can setup on site the day of the race to sell their goods and/or promote their business. 


2. Gold Level - $250 cash donation. The gold level sponsors receive 2 complimentary entries into the race, placement on the race t-shirt and banner, promotion on social media pages throughout the community and within the club's membership communication and can add something to the swag bag. 


3. Friends of IOW - $100 cash donation - The Friends sponsorship is perfect for residents and individuals who know what it takes to run our club and want to give a little more to the cause. It includes one entry to the race and the option to be added to the race t-shirt & banner if they'd like.

Race Day Details - 

Onsite registration, bib pickup and pre-race festivities kick off at 9am. Racers/Walkers will start assembling for line up around 9:30/9:45 and the race will begin promptly at 10am. Food & fun will immediately follow the completion of the race. The course is stroller friendly and there is no charge for children being pushed in a stroller. Walking children age 5+ should be registered as a participant. While we love our furry friends, we are unable to allow dogs (even those on a leash) to patriciate in the race. This is a timed event and awards will be given.
