RUN YOUR HEART OUT 5K AND 1 MILER HAS BEEN CANCELED
New Date: THIS RACE IS RESCHEDULED FOR 2024-STAY TUNED FOR UPDATES
To all “Run your heart out 5K “participants
We are so Thankful you had the opportunity to sign up for this inaugural event. However, due to Hurricane Ian, development at Wellen Park has been delayed and as such we are unable to offer you the full experience we had hoped for this race. Unfortunately, parts of the course will still be under construction and many of the Restaurants are not able to open as yet, so in the best interests of our participant's Safety and satisfaction, we have canceled the race for this year, 2023.
We will host this event Next year February 2024 instead. We want to make sure your experience with us is a great one and by next year we know we can look forward to all the Wellen Park Downtown restaurants will be open and the entire Racecourse will be completed.
We plan on sending you all a REFUND check for the total you paid for Race Registration.
Alternatively, we can transfer your registration to next year’s event instead. (Date TBD)
Please reach out to me and let me know which option you would prefer by January 31st, 2023.
(In the event we do not hear from you, race registration will be transferred to next year)
If you would like a refund, we will need your full mailing address and Full legal name to issue and mail a check to you. Please include this information when contacting me.
We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and we highly recommend signing up for the “St. Paddy’s day race“at Wellen Park on March 19th, 2023.

Join Venice YMCA for a new race for 2023! We have teamed up with Wellen Park and the inaugural Run Your Heart Out 5K will take place at Solis Hall - Downtown Wellen! We will begin the race in the new downtown area and run around the lake and finish downtown where you will find food, beverage, music, and tons of surprises!! Your furry friends are welcome to join you, as long as they are leashed.
Don't feel like doing a 5K, but want to join in on the fun? Sign up for the 1 Miler!! The giveaway isn't included with the 1 miler, however, you will still get the perks!!
Your entry will include a T-Shirt, swag bag, and entry to the after-party! Stay tuned for updates since this is a new race and a new venue that is under construction. Address for the Race Start will be: Solis Hall - 19745 Wellen Park Blvd., Venice, FL 34293.
Want to clean out that closet and get rid of some of those running shoes? GREAT!!! Drop them by the YMCA in the donation box, we collect by the pound, so bring as many as you want!

Overall, Youth (14 & Under), Masters (40+), Grand Masters (50+), Senior Grand Masters (60+) & Veteran Master (70+).
Age group awards
Awards will be given 3 deep starting at 10 & under and going to 80+
$5.00 discount applies for local running and triathlon clubs. Only one discount can be used.
$15.00 entry for kids 10 and under, club discount does not apply.
