Clarinet & Flute 4th, 5th & 6th Graders, Wednesdays, 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. $180 Regular, $162 for students enrolled in Summit Afterschool on a weekly basis during this entire class Oct. 5, 12, 19, Nov. 9, 16, 30, Dec. 7 No class Oct. 26, Nov. 2, 23 Led by Samantha Heath, Summit 7th Grade Math Teacher and former band director. Have fun learning to play a musical instrument Instruction includes note spelling, rhythm training, instrumental skills, harmonizing, and aural development. Research shows that the study of a musical instrument improves a child’s ability to reason, focus and comprehend in all other disciplines. There will be a daily home practice requirement of 15-25 minutes. Instrument and book to be provided by parent/guardian. Sound Innovations Book 1 Clarinet should be B flat Separk Music provides rentals. If you bring your own instrument, let Mrs. Heath evaluate it. Fee includes childcare and snack for Summit 4th & 5th Graders from 3:00-3:30. Open to Summit 6th Graders not participating in Fall and Winter Athletics
