Description

This race is to raise awareness and funds to educate others on the #1 reason our kids won’t make it to kindergarten, drowning. (And the 2nd reason our kids won’t see the age of 14!). Swim for Vinny is a non-profit organization whose mission is to raise awareness for infant self-rescue survival swim lessons, support instructor training, and student scholarships, and help promote access to families in need of such critical safety information.

Kids will be able to trick or treat along the route. We are looking for local businesses interested in sponsoring the trick-or-treat stations.

Packet Pickup
Packet Pickup will be on race morning only. We will begin packet pickup at 7:30am EDT in the Severns Valley Baptist Church parking lot near the start/finish line..

Registration
Registration is $25 per person

Participants Age 5 and under run FREE!

Online registration will remain open until the 8:30am start time of the event. Registering on your phone is quick and easy. Cash registrations will also be taken on race day. 

Awards
Awards will be given to the Top overall Male & Female runners. Also, best costume for 12 and under, 13-17, and 18 and over. All 5K runners will receive a special finisher's medal.

Course Information
The course will begin in the back of Severns Valley Baptist Church's parking lot and will circle their property before exiting out the back gate onto Robinbrooke Blvd. Runners will run about 1/2 mile down Robinbrooke before turning around and doing the course in reverse back to the finish line. We will have directional arrows on the course. If you have run one of our events before you know we like to overmark the course. 

Water Stops & Aid Station
We will offer a water/ hydration station about 1.5 miles into the course. Water and snacks will also be available at the start/finish line.
