Mr. Candy Memorial 5K and Fun Run in Memory of Mike Edwards

Mr. Mike Edwards was closely associated with the ministry of Wilson Christian Academy for over 30 years.  Known to many as "The Candy Man", others knew him as our long time Booster Club President and friend.  Mike went home to be with the Lord on October 8th, 2021.  Mike had an incredible love for Wilson Christian as well as the many lives he touched on a daily basis.  His Christian character and vision for both the WCA Booster Club and the school family was unmatched.  His passion and character left a mark that will last for many years to come.  The 1st Annual Mr. Candy Memorial 5K and Fun Run is an extension of that love for Wilson Christian.  Proceeds from the race will go to a scholarship fund to assist needy families at WCA with tuition.  We invite everyone to a celebration of Mike's life on Saturday October 8 2022 at the inaugural Mr. Candy Memorial 5K and Fun Run.
