2nd edition of the California Tri Camp! 5-day coached tri camp (6 days total) coached by USA Triathlon Certified Coach and Pro triathlete Kevin Portmann in beautiful San Diego, California. Escape the cold winter months and come train in sunny California! I am honored to host you and look forward to coaching this camp. The focus of this camp is to get you to train like an elite athlete for 6 days. By the end of this canp, athletes will walk away with....It will be an action-packed camp! New in 2023 - 5 days of training over 6 days with 1 rest day (day 4) to explore San Diego together (activities to be decided by the group. Activities not included in the price); - 20+ hours of training; - 30-min massage included; - Camp designed for advanced athletes who have raced a 70.3. / IM before or are training for one; During this camp athletes will: - Swim in outdoor pools and in open water with a coach on deck or on a paddle board, respectively; - Bike on mixed terrain along the coast on the iconic Pacific Coast Highway 101 and inland with SAG support during our long ride on Saturday with everything you need (mechanic, repair kits, nutrition, water) to make sure you can keep riding! - Run on the beach, along the coast, and on the Ironman 70.3 Oceanside run course; Athletes joining the camp will be insured through the USA TRIATHLON Tri Club Program.
