Abby Furco Memorial Color Fun Run 2023

THANK YOU FOR AN INCREDIBLE 2023 EVENT! WE RAISED $11,000 for St. Baldrick's Foundation. Please watch the site for our October 2024 info!!

We are SO excited to do it again! Join us Sunday, October 15th for the SECOND Annual Abby Furco Memorial Color Fun Run honoring Abby, our beloved friend who passed away too soon. 

REGISTRATION IS STILL OPEN BUT LESS THAN 50 SPOTS LEFT! Event T-shirt sizes guaranteed for all registrations before October 1st. 

Our color fun run/walk, is a non-bib, approx 5k course filled with color stations throughout. You can run, walk, push a stroller...bring your entire family!! Come out and celebrate the life and memory of Abby Furco while also giving back to childhood cancer foundations that helped her, her family and other childhood cancer fighters!! 

All funds collected, after race costs are covered, will be donated to charity! Our 2023 event will be benefitting St. Baldrick's Foundation - a foundation that funded research allowing Abby to live for 11 years with childhood cancer and its effects. We continue Abby's legacy of supporting others and fund research for those fighting childhood cancer.
We are excited to announce that your donations through this event will be tax deductible as our newly founded 501c3 pending Abby's Legacy Foundation is the event host!!! Please see donate page for more information.

EVENT ENTRY 

-$25 per adult participant

-$15 per student participant (18 and under)

All participants will receive a white race T-shirt with logo and sunglasses to wear during the race. All proceeds donated to St. Baldrick's in Abby's honor. Donations can also made by clicking the Donate button linked above. Sign up by October 1st to guarantee your T-shirt size event day. If you register after that date, we will do our best to have your t-shirt size!

EVENT DETAILS

Date - Sunday, October 15, 2023

Location - Lago Mar Park at Back Bay, 801 Casa Verde Way, Virginia Beach, VA 23456. Start/Finish festival at the park with course through the Lago Mar Neighborhood. 
Event will take place rain or shine, watch the website, social media (see below) & your email if there is severe weather. 

PARKING - Please come towards the park area from the Nimmo Pkwy direction. There will be parking signs and people to help direct you. We will park on the “inside” of the course, along Casa Verde, Santa Fe and Valle Rio Way. If you are dropping off, please drop off on Casa Verde Way.

EVENT TIMELINE

9am - 9:40am - Runner check-in 

9:45am - Start line warm-up 

10am - Color fun run start

Festival music, snacks & fun to follow. 

VOLUNTEERS 

Go to the Volunteer Interest Form at https://forms.gle/FKAquG84Aow1tY278 to sign up or contact Patty at pattylynn1@aol.com  You will be provided a race t-shirt for helping. Volunteer check-in times will be emailed out as the race gets closer, plan on anywhere from 7am to Noon. If you want to volunteer and race, please note that on the interest form. We will need many, many hands - thank you!!!
