Description
The Soddy-Daisy 2022 Great Pumpkin Chase:
In honor of Breast Care Awareness Month in October.
All proceeds, after covering costs, will be donated to the
MaryEllen Locher Breast Center at CHI Memorial Hospital.
This course is certified, FLAT AND FAST! This could be great for your first 5k or your FASTEST 5k!
Participants using a Racing Wheelchair, Handcycle or Adaptive Foot Pedal Bike are welcome.
Packet Pickup for 5K and 1 Mile - Please pick up your bib (5K) & t-shirt (5K and 1 Mile) on Oct 14, 4-7 PM at the race location - 11651 Dayton Pike, Soddy-Daisy. Pickup is also available day of event starting at 7:00, but things may be crowded then.
Schedule:
8 AM – Great Pumpkin Chase 5K Run/Walk and 1Mile Walk: t-shirts guaranteed to those who register by September 15. There are no age restrictions, but children may prefer the Trick or Trot instead.
9 AM- Kids Trick or Trot. Short fun runs on grass for children ages 12 and under, grouped by age. Costumes are encouraged! Prizes for all who participate. This is a FREE event, but we ask that you register online so that we know how many participants to plan for. [sorry, no t-shirts for this event]
9:30 AM - 5K Awards - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards for age groups and overall male and female finishers
9:30 AM - Random awards for all participants in the 5K, 1 Mile and Trick or Trot
Stick around after your run or walk!
10 AM to 3 PM – FREE Fall Festival, featuring food, live music, arts & crafts, pumpkin carving, face painting, petting zoo, rides and more
Refreshments: Please bring your reusable drink containers; compostable cups available if you choose not to bring your own containers. Filtered water and Gatorade coolers available for fill up prior to events. Water available on 5K course. Water, Gatorade, and healthy snacks (fruit, granola bars, bagels) available to all participants and volunteers at conclusion of events.

GPS Location: Race begins and ends at the Soddy-Daisy Firehouse at 11651 Dayton Pike, Soddy-Daisy. Ample parking is available on Depot St.
