Join Twin City Track Club on the 1st of June to celebrate Global Running Day by running or walking your fastest mile! In conjunction with the free Summer Track Series on Wednesday evening, June 1, we will be hosting some 1 mile races and raising money for a wonderful cause. Schedule and more information provided below:

Location: Hanes Park Bob Sosnik Track
Event Start Time: 5:45pm (please arrive by 5:30pm) 
Racing Distance: 1 Mile (4 laps of the track)

Racing schedule:
5:45pm - Community Mile (this event is for people looking to run or walk their first mile!) 
6:00pm - 1 Mile races will begin starting with the sub 6:00 minutes heat!   
Subsequent heats will be run for mile times of more than 6 minutes with groups based upon the number of participants and estimated paces.

Participants who register for the 1 mile run or walk can have their times posted in the results.  Participants will self time themselves and submit finishing times to a volunteer on site for uploading to the event results.  A race clock will be located at the finish line.  Results will not be posted for those who do not register for the event.

Participants are welcome to join any or all of the other events in the Summer Track Series that follow the 1 mile run.  Other events include: 400 meters, 800 meters, 100 meters and a 2 mile XC run inside park. Or you can stick around and cheer on the other participants.

This event will support the Beat the Heat Charity Partner Fund so donations from participants and spectators would be greatly appreciated!
