Description

Enjoy a unique experience and the only time you will be able to run on a runway. Join us for the 1st Annual Go Wheels Up - Runway Run 5k. Race start time is at 8:30 am. Same day packet pick-up starting at 7:00 am at the Entrance of Go Wheels Up at the San Marcos Regional Airport. Enjoy a family-friendly event after the race which will include Music, a Car Show, Airshow, and a Kid Zone!

Start time: 8:30 AM 

The SWAG: Each participant will receive a race t-shirt and a GA ticket to Go Wheels Up.  

Packet Pickup: Friday, May 27th from Noon - 3 PM at San Marcos Regional Airport Office-4400 Airport Highway 21 San Marcos, Texas 78666. You may pick up race bibs for a friend but you must have their QR code and the correct spelling of their name. May 28th Race Day registration and packet pickup will be at San Marcos Regional Airport 1807 Airport Dr, San Marcos, TX 78666 at the main entrance of the go wheels up event from 7:00 AM-8:00 AM.  Walk-up registrations will be $50 and do not guarantee a t-shirt.

Awards: Top 3 Overall, 1st place Masters (40+) , Top 3 in group 16 & under, 17-25, 26-30, 31-44, 30-34, 45-59, 60 and over in Male and Female. Awards will be announced at 10:00 am (maybe sooner) once the event has concluded. After the awards, the Go Wheels Up event will begin and you are free to stay and enjoy Music, Food, Airshow, and many other activities

Parking:  As you enter the park volunteers will be directing participants to our designated parking area.  San Marcos Regional Airport will open its gates at 6:30 am Participants can either run their warm-up.

Registration & Race Information

5K starts at 8:30 a.m.
We will begin with the wheelchair racers, followed by the pacers of the event. (6min miles or lower)
Early arrival is recommended allowing time for parking.
Packet Pick up and same-day registrations will begin at 7 am at the entrance of the event. 
Bibs are required.
Water stations will be available on the course. Pre-filled, personal water bottles are highly recommended.
Pets are not allowed on the course.
Strollers are allowed in the 5K, and those with strollers must start behind the runners/walkers.
Shirts are not guaranteed for registrations received after 05/1/22.
