Join us for our second annual Mother's Day 10K, 5K and Fun Run at Waco Surf on Saturday, May 13th, 2023.

Kick off your Mother’s Day weekend by having fun with family and friends while getting a little exercise! All participants will receive a shirt, Waco Surf Waterpark & Beach pass with access to lazy river, slides, and beach (valid for DAY OF EVENT ONLY), and a mimosa on the beach! (Must be 21+ & present ID).  

The whole family is encouraged to participate and enjoy the morning!  There will also be plenty of activities for kids on-site! Jogging strollers are welcome! 

 

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Waco Surf requires the waiver found in the link below to be completed by anyone attending the GWSC Mother's Day event. This includes race participants, family members (including minors), spectators, race staff, and volunteers. To alleviate longer wait times at race check-in on race morning, all attending parties should complete this prior to the event date. Event attendees (participants and event spectators) will not be permitted on the property without a signed waiver.

Race Terrain:

10K – paved driveway start, then continue on asphalt road turning onto a dirt road for half of the run and finish the race on asphalt/paved driveway. Starts at 9am

5K  –  paved driveway start and then continue on asphalt road for the remainder of the run. Starts at 9:30am

Fun Run – 1 mile run on concrete. Starts at 10:15am

**Please note there is a possibility that there may be loose gravel on the 10K and 5K portions of the run.**

All proceeds from this event will benefit the non-profit Greater Waco Sports Commission, which is devoted to providing opportunities to enhance the lives of those living in Waco and McLennan County through sport and exercise.

 

“The Fine Print:” The Mother’s Day 10K, 5K & Fun Run takes place rain or shine. The race director reserves the right to cancel or amend the event due to severe weather.  As is the case with other running/walking events, refunds are not given for weather cancellations.  Registration fees are non-transferable and non-refundable.
