Description

Support the Vernon Hills Park District Scholarship Program by signing up for our annual Loop the Lakes 5K Run/Walk. The course winds through picturesque Century Park Arboretum, one of Lake County’s most beautiful community parks. Runners and walkers can enjoy the beautiful sights and sounds of nature as they loop around Big Bear and Little Bear Lakes. This course does have small hills and inclines around the southernmost loop.

This year, Loop the Lakes 5K Walk/Run has two start times with 50 spots available in each. The 1st race starts at 9:00 am, the 2nd race starts at 10:30 am. Masks must be worn at all times during the event. Please practice social distancing while gathering before and after the race.

Post-race snacks and water are provided. Awards are given to best overall male and female as well as the top three finishers for each age group. Awards will be mailed out the following week. Results will be posted online and emailed to participants.

T-shirt sizes are only guaranteed for those participants that sign up by May 10, 2021. Packet pick-up is on site prior to the race.

 

Fee: $30 through May 21, $35 on May 22.

Please wear mask and practice social distancing before and after race. Masks may be pulled down while running.
