Come out to the MAXEYS MODEL MILE 5K WALK/RUN in Maxeys GA, the first official 5k race on the Firefly Trail!

The Course is mostly flat, but some gentle rolling hills on paved residential streets.

We are offering a run at home option starting Saturday May 14 through Saturday May 21.  You can run anywhere you feel safe.  Run in a park, around your house or on a treadmill.

Race day registration and Packet Pickup begins at 6:30AM

5K starts at 7:30AM

5K Awards: Overall Male and Female, Masters Male and Female, Grandmasters Male and Female and top 3 in standard age groups from 10 and under to 75 and over.

Timing and Results: Finish line management and results provided by Classic Race Services with results posted to www.classicraceservices.com, www.active.com www.athlinks.com and https://classiconestop.com/

Shirts and Goodies:  Shirts are guaranteed to those who register by 5/6/22.  Those who register for the in-person option after that date and on race day will receive shirts while supplies last.  There will be plenty of refreshments.

Run at Home 5K May 14 - May 21:  Run your 3.1 miles anywhere you like, your neighborhood, a park, a track, on a treadmill.  Send your finish time in using this link:  http://tiny.cc/22MaxeysModelMile5KTimes.  Times must be submitted by May 21 at 12 noon.  Run at Home runners are not elibible for race day awards and will be placed at the end of your respective age group for series points.  

Series Affiliation: The race is part of the 2022 Black Bag Race Series and the 2022 Clover Glove Series

Other Info: In case of rain, the races will go on.  Delay of the start may happen in case of severe weather in the area at race time.  If severe weather continues, then the race director or local authorities may make the call to cancel the race at that time.  Sorry, no refunds.
