The EST. 5K Recovery Run & Community Event

Join your community on Saturday, September 10th, 2022 at Creekside Park, as we come together to run for recovery and establish FAMILY RECOVERY from addiction, or Substance Use Disorder, at the “Established 5K Recovery Run” and community event!

Running or briskly walking the 3.1 mile loop will not be the only way you can get involved at this Substance Use Disorder (SUD) awareness and recovery-establishing community event, but it will be the main activity taking place for this jam-packed morning. Get ready to RUN FOR RECOVERY!

This event will fund the launch of Established Family Recovery Ministries, Inc. which is a brand-new 501c3 non-profit founded to combat SUD, in our communities through strengthening holistic family recovery options for household members left behind when the man of their house enters residential SUD treatment. Established Family Recovery Ministries offers holistic support to women and children specifically, when the partner and/or dad of the home leaves to enter residential treatment, by providing bridges to Christian counseling and child-play therapy for younger children, bibles, relevant resources for recovery, financial assistance, practical support such as gift cards for daily expenses, weekly mentorship, regular mental “well-checks” for all household members, babysitting service referrals, women and children’s retreats, and more. Additional ministry outreach includes grief-specific care for women grieving the death of a partner to SUD, which will include relevant regular services, as well as necessary meal delivery, grief counseling options, regular mental “well checks,” car maintenance support, and other relevant grief recovery efforts.

This event will be professionally chip-timed by GateCity Race Timing! Event results will be posted on-site and online in real-time and will be updating as participants cross the finish line. Results will be "official" once the event is over.
