Accentuate Med Spa Presents the 2023

 

Mount Holly Middle School and Rankin Elementary School 2023 Ugly Sweater 5k and Tinsel Tangle 2k

Event Information: On December 9th the streets of Mt. Holly are about to be swarmed with the season’s most terribly tacky sweaters. Get out your most embarrassing, awe inspiring Ugly Sweater and join us in downtown Mt. Holly on December 9, 2023 at the North Pole (Start Line) to get this season off to a holly jolly start. The Mount Holly Middle School and Rankin Elementary Ugly Sweater 5k and Tinsel Tangle 2k are produced by a collaboration of the Mount Holly Middle School PTO and Rankin Elementary PTA to raise funds to support the awesome students and staff at Mount Holly Middle School and Rankin Elementary with the gracious support of Accentuate Med Spa along with our other sponsors.  If you don’t have (or admit to having) an Ugly Sweater we would still love to have you join us to support our PTO and PTA – feel free to hit the 5k or 2k course festive costuming or not. We can’t wait to see everyone’s smiling faces as they cross the South Pole (Finish Line).

And if running is not your thing come on out just to see the sights, have a cup of hot cocoa, and enjoy a  treat. We hope you will also stop by the Elf Zone to enjoy some family friendly activities and mingle with some elves. There will be hot cocoa and coffee for purchase and we may even have a  food truck selling breakfast.

The Tinsel Tangle 2k starts at 8:15 and the Ugly Sweater 5k starts at 8:45 at the L&E Properties North Pole (Start Line).

Registration: Registration fees for the 5k are $20 for ages 18 and over and $15 for ages 17 and under. Registration fees for the Tinsel Tangle 2k are $15 for ages 18 and over and $10 for ages 17 and under. Note: The registration process will automatically discount the price based on age so make sure you are registering for the correct event. T- Shirts are only guaranteed for participants who register by 11/28. Prices will increase $5 on Race Day. Online registration ends 12/9/2023. Same day registration for each event ends 15 minutes before the event. 

Packet Pick-up: Early Accuvision packet pick-up will be on December 8 at at a time and location to be announced. Same day registration and Accuvision packet pick up opens at 7:30 am on December 9, 2022. 

Awards: The Ugly Sweater 5k is a timed event and our awards structure will be for as follows: 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place for 8 and under, 11 and under, 12-14, 15-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34 (continuing in 5 year increments until 59),  and 60 and over -  Male and Female overall for ages 11 and under, 17 and under, 18-60, 60+ (to be pulled from individual age groups).

The Tinsel Tangle 2k is an untimed event with no awards. 

Costume and theme awards will also be given for the Ugliest Sweater, the Ugliest Sweater Party (group/team of ugly sweaters), the most Terrific Trimmings (deck yourself out individually), the Griswolds (best decked group) all those interested in being entered into the costume contest must enter at the registration table on race day.
