Come join a really fun crew for the Fourth Annual 5K RUN FOR THE DONUT on Saturday, February 15, 2025.  Have a blast on a professionally chip-timed, flat, out-and-back course 5K course that travels through a beautiful wooded neighborhood. Feel free to run the .5K FUN RUN as well, or stay and listen to music while you enjoy your coffee, donut and other breakfast items!

5K RUN FOR THE DONUT IS SANCTIONED BY THE MANASOTA TRACK CLUB, AND IS PART OF THE 2025 MTC RACING SERIES.

Costumes encouraged, the crazier the better.

Saturday February 15, 2025 

• 8:00 am start for 5K


• Fun Run starts 30ish minutes after 5K race start

Location: Lakeview Elementary School, 7299 Proctor Rd in Sarasota through Bent Tree Woodlands II

All parking and indoor bathrooms are at the Sarasota Baptist Church across the street.  Port a Potties available at Lakeview.

This is an In-Person Run/Jog/Walk - THIS RACE WILL HAPPEN RAIN OR SHINE...in the case of lightning, there may be a delay.  If unsafe conditions (for example a serious storm) the race may need to switch to a virtual race.  

Other things to know

• Strollers and dogs are welcome.


• 1 water stop halfway through the course.


• EMS will be on site at the school campus.

***We are making every effort to have this be a NO WASTE RACE.  If you don't like your award or the shirt doesn't fit, you are welcome to exchange it for something else after the race.  (Look for the Award Exchange table in the race village.) You can take a picture with your medal and then turn it back in, and we will reuse it next year.  At our sponsors tables, take only what you like: coupons, bags or any other giveaways.***  

This will always be a small, family feel event - race is be capped at 500 registrants.

No refunds, all registrations are donations to keep growing YL in the Sarasota Community

 *Packet Pick Up* will by held on Friday February 14th from 4pm to 7pm at New Balance of Sarasota located at 1872 Stickney Point, Sarasota, by the South Bridge of Siesta Key (NOT at the New Balance near UTC mall.) Yes, you can pick up a packet for someone else while you are there. You can also pick up your packet on the morning of the race.

Race morning packet pick up and registration will be available from 6:30am until 7:30am. 

Awards will be available for two weeks at New Balance Sarasota, 1872 Stickney Point Rd, after the event, if you are unable to stay for the ceremony.  

This is a fundraiser for Young Life Sarasota.

Young Life is a Christian ministry that reaches out to middle school, high school, and college students in all 50 of the United States and in more than 100 countries around the world.
