IN-PERSON 100m Kids Fun Run (recommended for kids ages 8 and under)
Description
Celebrate the life of Craig Kleiman and run or walk to support local programs for children with autism and other special needs this Labor Day weekend with the Craig Kleiman 5K Run/Walk. This race will be held in memory of Craig, who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on December 19, 2019 - his 40th
birthday. Proceeds from the race will benefit the Central Ohio chapter of Autism Speaks, the unique inclusion summer camp program for children with special needs at the Columbus JCC and Bexley Parks and Recreation’s special needs communication initiatives at the Bexley Pool.
Last year’s run generated much enthusiasm and support and we hope you will join us again for another great event along the beautiful streets of North Bexley! The 5K will start at 9 AM, and like last year, we are also offering a kids run prior to the 5K (8:45 AM) for children ages 8 and under. There also will be virtual 5K and kids run options as well for anyone who is unable to join us in person on Labor Day. Additional Race Information
Packet Pickup Information
All packet pickup for in-person participants will take place on race morning at the race site, starting at 7:30 am. There will be NO early packet pickup prior to race morning. All virtual registrants will have their materials mailed to them.
In-Person 5K Swag
Registrants for the in-person event who register on or before August 23rd will be guaranteed a commemorative t-shirt. For those who register after August 23rd, shirts and shirt sizes for in-person participants will be first come, first served, until supplies run out.
In-Person Kids Run Swag
All in-person kids run participants will receive a commemorative finisher medal at the finish line!
Virtual 5K Swag
Virtual registrants must sign up by August 16th in order to receive a t-shirt by mail prior to Labor Day weekend. Those who register after August 16th are not guaranteed to receive their t-shirts before the start of Labor Day weekend
Virtual Kids Run Swag
All virtual kids run registrants will receive a commemorative finisher medal by mail.
Reporting Virtual Results
Reporting results is completely optional (not required). Reporting virtual results can only be done between August 30, 2024, and September 2, 2024. If you would like to report results, you must follow the steps below:

- Click "Submit Virtual Results"
Parking Information
There are options on Clifton (West of Parkview), 2100 Clifton Ave (Bexley Pool), and the Jeffrey Park Tennis Court lot off of Clifton Ave.
Race Day Timeline
7:30 am - Race day check-in and packet pickup begins near the start/finish line
8:45 am - Kids Fun Run begins
9:00 am - 5K begins
10:00 am - Awards
Awards
Awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top male/female finishers in each of the following age categories: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 & over. Awards will be presented at 10:00 am near the start/finish line. Announcements will be made over the PA system.
