AFCEA 5K "Run for STEM" Mission

The 2023 AFCEA Run for STEM is a fundraising effort that serves to support teachers, ROTC cadets, High school and Middle school students furthering their interests in STEM. All race proceeds will go to the AFCEA Educational 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation. The AFCEA Educational Foundation which serves to support excellence in education, provide educational incentives, and assist people pursuing education and careers in STEM-related disciplines.

Race Day Schedule

9am- Registration is Open

Arrive early to: check in, get your 5K bib, & pick up your shirt & raffle ticket.

10am - Race Starts

As a group, we will walk to the starting line and begin the race. All runners/walkers should be done by 11am.

Once complete, return to the registration area for drinks, snacks, and games.

11:15am - Trophy/Raffle Presentation

After everyone has completed the race, we will compile the results and present team and individual awards.

We will also begin our race raffle, raffle tickets can be purchased anytime at the registration area.

Virtual 5K

Participants who choose the Virtual 5K are being challenged to compete AFCEA Chapter vs Chapter! The team challenge is to log the greatest distance!

Unfortunately due to the virtual/remote nature of this event, virtual runner's WILL NOT be included in the raffle, or receive t-shirts.

In-Person 5K

Participants who choose the In-Person 5K will compete for team and individual awards based on time and participation. Teams can be custom created by any registered runner!

In-person participants will be entered into our raffle, and receive a race t-shirt!
