Description

Come join us at the Athens YMCA for the 40th Annual Coach Mike's Run Through the Woods 5K and Fun Run.  The race will start and finish at YMCA SOFT SURFACE track with the rest of the course run on trails and the athletic fields in and around the YMCA.  Proceeds from the race go to support the Athens YMCA Youth programs.

Fun Run is free unless you want a shirt, then you must register for $10 before 7/21/21.

This year there is a Run at Home option where your may run your 5K distance anywhere you like.  Submit finish times to http://tiny.cc/21CoachMikeHealthRunTimes no later than 12 noon on August 7.

Race Day packet pickup and registration: Begins at 6:30AM

Cross Country 5K Race: Begins at 8AM

Awards:

Awards will be World Famous R. Wood Pottery presented to Overall M/F, Masters M/F, and top three M/F in age groups beginning 10 and under through 75 and over.

Series Affiliation

The race is on the 2021 Black Bag Race Series.

Shirts and Goodies

Shirts are guaranteed to those who register before 7/21/2021. No shirts will be given to anyone who registers after that date.  There will be plenty of fluids and snacks after the race.

Other Info:

In case of rain, the races will go on.  Delay of the start may happen in case of severe weather in the area at race time.  If severe weather continues, then the race director or local authorities may make the call to cancel the race at that time.  Sorry, no refunds.
