We are back Live on Memorial Day, May 31^st, 2021.

Start Time:

8:00am 5K - 1 race - everyone runs together,

8:45am 1 Mile

The 5k run starts and finishes close to the historic Tallmadge Circle and weaves it's way through the beautiful residential section of the city of Tallmadge. 

The 1 mile fun run starts and finishes close to the historic Tallmadge Circle in the same location as the 5k.

There will be early packet pick up on Saturday, May 29, from 9 -2 at Ritchies Sporting Goods. 137 South Ave, Tallmadge 44278.

Day of race packet pick up and Registration will begin at 6:30 am at World Elite 81 Northwest Ave, Tallmadge 44278.

Runners who register for the 5k and 1 mile will receive a high-quality soft style shirt.  

All 5K Finishers  will recieve a medal.

Parking available at Medical Building at 33 North Ave, as well as Huntington Bank off Tallmadge Circle.

 

This will be the 28th Anniversary of the Tallmadge Memorial 5K.

Spectator Tips

The best place to view this race will be at the start and finish line near the Tallmadge Circle. We ask you to please stay socially distant.

Face Coverings: Athletes are encouraged to wear face coverings before and after competition. Staff and volunteers will be required to wear face coverings throughout the entire event.

 

Health Screening: All participants and volunteers are required to do a self-assessment regarding their overall health in the last 14 days and asked to stay home if they have any symptoms (including fever, cough, sore throat, etc.).

 

Sanitize Areas: Hand sanitizer will be available and placed throughout the venue. Additional signage will be displayed reminding everyone to use them.

 

We will promote Social Distancing: To promote physical distancing and mitigate person to-person contact, we will have ample signage placed in key areas of venue encouraging physical distancing (i.e. markings on the ground and signage) around potentially crowded areas to encourage people to spread out. Announcements will also serve as reminders.

Warm-up routines: Warm ups are to be done independently (or 6 feet from others assuring social distancing)

On Course race procedures:  Athletes are to run 6 feet from one another and are encouraged to use 6 feet aside when passing. They are asked to refrain from running side-by-side unless 6 feet apart.  

Run Aid Stations: We will ask each athlete to bring their own water bottle for the run. Single use 8 oz. water bottles will be available at aid stations. Runners are asked to dispose of properly in containers provided on course.

 

Finish Line Fluids: Single-use water will be handed to athletes by staff or volunteers wearing gloves/masks. Athletes will NOT be permitted to grab their own hydration.  Athletes will be asked to move quickly thru the finish line area staying spaced 6 feet apart

 

Limited Spectators will be allowed: Spectators must maintain social distancing. Announcements will also serve as reminders.  We have plenty of room along the start / finish line, please spread out.

Runners will be informed if this race is cancelled due to COVID 19.
