RUN/RIDE IN BEAUTIFUL HUMPHREYS COUNTY TO SUPPORT OUR VETERANS THROUGH FITNESS

Come join us on August 21, 2021 for a fully supported event originating from, and returning to, Waverly City Park off of Powers Blvd.. City Park (often referred to as Asbury Park) is located immediately north of Highway 70.  Follow the signs on Powers Blvd. to the pavilion for registration and instructions.

Your $35 (or $40 on the day of the event) will gain you event registration, a Sweat for A Vet 2021 T-Shirt*, fully supported SAG service and rest stops for the bicycle ride. A meal will be provided to the returning cyclists. Any athletes wishing to participate in both the run and in bicycling may do so with only 1 registration.  Your cycling route choice will be gathered upon your arrival.

7 AM RUNA fully paved trail run in, and around, city park.  Drinks and snacks will be provided when you return.

8 AM RIDE- A fully supported bicycle ride along the clean and well-kept backroads of Humphreys County, Tennessee.  Both routes will head north for a short 4 miles before heading east to McEwen, TN.  A brief trek through McEwen gives way to some southern travel before heading west deeper into some quiet and canopied tundra.  The 28 mile group will break north on Chambers Spring Road to head back in to Waverly finishing with close to 1,300 feet of climbing as the 62 mile group sets out to explore areas surrounding the Duck and Buffalo Rivers and finishing with around 3100 feet of ascending. The 62 mile trip takes you through historic Bakerville and rewards you with the Bakerville Road climb. Refreshments and refills will be available for you at the Bakerville Church of Christ just before you head straight up the Bakerville Rd. climb. After a couple of turns, a revisit to where the 28 mile route diverted will return you to Waverly and to City Park.

There will be fully stocked rest stops at Mile Markers 14, 24, and 42.
