Walking has been proven to provide endless health benefits for seniors, including reduced risk of obesity, heart disease and stroke! The West Fargo Park District is excited to invite older adults to mix things up from their normal workout routine and join in on an active morning at Rendezvous Park.
On Wednesday, May 25, the West Fargo Park District's A Walk in the Park will encourage seniors to be healthy and active by participating in a 2.4 mile walk to 40th Ave West Park and back or stay in Rendezvous and walk around the pond for a 1.5 mile walk all on paved paths. This walk features a commemorative t-shirt, refreshments/light snacks and music. This event is FREE, and all participants that pre-register by May 9 will receive a commemorative t-shirt. Wednesday, May 25, 2022 is National Senior Health & Fitness Day, an annual event celebrating its 29-year anniversary this year and will be observed by more than 1,000 local organizations across the United States.
