Sunday, May 5, 2024 - Race 1 of 5 of the 2024 Olmsted Spirit Race Series

 

***FYI, we have eliminated the 1500M Track Race.  As of 4/19, no one had signed up for it.  That race was set to take off at 8:00AM.  We will keep the rest of the schedule as is.  The 5k/2 Mile Run will take off at 8:30AM.

***There will be two early packet pick-ups this year on Friday, May 3rd and Saturday, May 4.  Time and location TBD by Wednesday, April 24th.  Stay tuned!  

 

Race Day Packet Pick Up/Registration - Inside Olmsted Falls High School Cafeteria (6:45AM - 8:00AM)

Tentative Race Start Times:

5K Run, 2 Mile Run/Walk (includes tactical vest division) - 8:30AM

Youth Superhero Fun Run and Championship Series Events - 9:20AM

 

Your 2024 Olmsted Spirit Event Options (something for everyone!):

5k Run, 2 Mile Run/Walk, Youth Series Championship (Competitive 800m for ages 11-13, 400m for ages 10 and under), Youth Superhero Fun Runs (Ages 13 and Under, non-timed fun run.  800, 400, 100, and 50 meter options)

**New This Year is the 2024 Olmsted Spirit Youth Series Championship (Age Divisions 11-13 and 10 and Under)

The 11-13 Yr Old Age Division will run an 800 meter (two laps around track) race

The 10 and Under Age Division will run a 400 meter (one lap around the track) race

Also new to those who are returning participants is the addition of your race t-shirts being included in the cost of registration!  You do have an option to opt out of a t-shirt and save a few dollars.  

Participants can now compete and run the 2-Mile Distance!  Participants can choose to run or walk the 2-Mile.  Participants who are choosing the 5k are highly encouraged to be able to run the entire 5k.  Walkers will be permitted in the 5k, however, roads will reopen to local traffic by 9:00AM.  You may be redirected to the side of the road or sidewalk (where available) to finish your race.

***Olmsted Falls Run Club Athletes (Grades 4-8, Girls and Boys OFIS and Co-ed OFMS Clubs) - Parents/Guardians, you are now responsible for signing up your daughters/sons.  There is no cost when registering on here as their registration fee was covered by their run club dues.

**The FREE Run Club Sign Up Does NOT include the 3rd Grade Bulldogs on the Run (BOTR) Club.  They are participating in their own run and will not be participating as a group in the Olmsted Spirit 5k or 2 Mile Run! We are offering a 25% registration discount for kids, coaches, and families of kids involved in the Bulldogs on the Run Club.  Use promo code "BOTR2024" when checking out!

All races will start/finish on the Olmsted Falls High School Track

Parking will be available at Olmsted Falls High School between the track and school.  Please use the Athletic Wing Entrance to enter the building. 

Packet PIckup/Race Day Registration and post race awards/raffle will be in the Olmsted Falls High School Cafeteria

 The 5k Run and 2 Mile Run/Walk will take off at approximately 8:30AM.  

**New to all participants this year, we are offering a group warm-up that will take place on the turf field inside Olmsted Falls High School Stadium next to the Start/Finish Line.  The group warmup will start at approximately 8:10AM.
