Leave the concrete behind and run thru the mud, over tree roots, on boardwalks crossing over marshes and bogs, past forests and prairies, and raise funds for environmental education at the same time.   Welcome to the Navarino Trail Run / Walk!   This event helps to support a wonderful non-profit that provides educational programs to 4,000 students and over 15,000 adults annually.   

Due to Covid19, participants will have to time themselves for the 2021 event.   The nature center will have a timing display available, however we are not able to afford the professional timing for this event due to earlier year impacts to our budget.  All participants will receive their bag with shirt and participant medal.   You can run on Saturday, April 17th at 9 am, or any time between April 17th and 22nd on the trail system.

Staff and volunteers will prepare the trails in advance.    Staff will be here on Saturday, April 17th for packet pick up, starting the event, timing monitors, etc.

Event details and schedule

Packet pickup will be outside the nature center classroom on the west side of the building starting at 7 AM on Saturday, April 17th.

10K and 5K events start at the 9 am, following national anthem and morning updates.  Children's one mile fun run starts after the last participant from 5K walk has cleared the course (typically around 10:30 am).

There will be NO Awards as all participants will receive participant metals in 2021.

What to wear:  dress for the weather as event goes rain or shine.  Bright colors are nice, or your favorite costume.
