Skyhawks Running Club is designed to increase participants knowledge of running and improve their endurance in a safe environment while having fun! The kids will be taught the fundamentals of intermediate and long-distance running through pacing and proper technique, with walking options for those just starting out on their running journey. Each day, the kids will have time devoted to running at paces designed to safely challenge them, in addition to sprint training drills, body strengthening and flexibility, and techniques to encourage well-rounded running. Coaches will track distance ran/walked for the duration of the program and present participants with totals at the end. They just might be surprised how far they were able to go! Participants should bring appropriate clothing, athletics shoes, sunscreen, snacks, water bottle, hand sanitizer, towel, and face covering. The Running Club meets rain or shine. No class 2/25
