This documentary film series showcases local stories focused on identity, regionalism, and diversity in Missouri communities. After the screening, participants will have the opportunity to discuss the film and share their own stories.
After a Missouri high school loses three students to suicide, Mark Norwine (a mental health advocate) embarks on a 200-mile walk across the state, seeking to educate students and better understand the epidemic for himself. Mark is joined by his son, Eric, but when the road proves difficult, father and son must confront their own mental health struggles.
Endorsed by universities and mental health organizations across the United States, Walking Man is an honest look at one family's struggle with mental illness.
Film will be shown on a large, screen inside the museum. Due to COVID-19, the museum's inside program capacity is limited to 15.
