The Rotary Club of Morgan County would like to invite you to come run through Historic Madison, Georgia on this fairly flat and fast course.  Several Georgia State records have been set on the 8K course.  Both courses are USATF Certified and are Official AJC Peachtree Road Race Qualifying Events.  Certification numbers 5K #GA13114WC.  8K #GA13115WC.

Event details and schedule

Race day registration and packet pickup will begin at 7AM

5K starts at 8AM

8K starts at 9:30AM

Fun Run (Free to ALL CHILDREN) starts at 10:00AM

Watch your email for more information closer to the day of the race about individual arrival times and race times for your wave. We plan a safe In Person race with all the necessary precautions.

Running Club/Team Rates: (10 or more) are available by mail in only.  Mail in applications by November 28, 2020.  Please contact Cindy England for details and rates at 478.451.7113 or [email protected]

Awards: Overall Male and Female, Masters Male and Female.  Age Group awards will be given to the in standard age groups beginning with 10 and under to 75 and over in both races.

Timing and Results: Finish line management and results provided by Classic Race Services with results posted to www.classiconestop.com, www.classicraceservices.com, www.active.com, and www.athlinks,com

Series Affiliation: The races are on the 2020 Black Bag Race Series.

Shirts and Goodies: Long Sleeved shirts are guaranteed to those who register by 11/28/20.  Those who register after that date are not guaranteed a shirt or size.  They will be given out while supplies last.  There will be plenty of refreshments.  Stay after the race and spend the day in our historic southern town!  Holiday Parade at 4pm and Caroling by Candlelight in Town Park from 5pm-7pm.

COVID Information:  Both the 5K and 8K will begin in waves of 50.  Watch your email as we get closer to the event date for more information about individual arrival times for your wave.  We plan a safe in-person race with all the necessary precautions.  

 

Other Info: In case of rain, the races will go on.  Delay of the start may happen in case of severe weather in the area at race time.  If severe weather continues, then the race director or local authorities may make the call to cancel the race at that time.  Sorry, no refunds.
