Description
Welcome to 25th annual 5K Race and Kids K Fun Run thru downtown Rockford. Packet pick up will take place on:
- Friday, August 18 from 4:30-7:00pm
- Saturday, August 19 from 7:00am - 8:00am
Mitchell's Run Thru Rockford (MRTR) was organized to benefit Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (PPMD). Mitchell Peterson, and many other boys and some girls from West Michigan have been diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. All race proceeds will be donated to PPMD in Mitchell's honor, to END DUCHENNE. This is a fun, family event, with live music and a festive atmosphere. The course runs through scenic Rockford and along The White Pine Trail! Superheros will be available for photographs at the race again this year!
Each registered 5K participant will receive a Mitchell's Run Race Tee, race bib, a finisher medal and race refreshments.
Each registered Kids K participant will receive a Mitchell's Run Race Tee, race bib, finisher medal and a popsicle or ice cream treat.
Each Virtual 5K participant will be mailed a race packet with our MRTR Race Tee, Race Bib and Medal prior to the event.

Awards
We will not be holding an award ceremony this year. You may pick up your award approximately 10 minutes after you complete your race in the pavilion. If you are unable to stay, your award will be mailed to you.
Age Divisions: 10 & Under, 11-12, 13-15, 16-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65- 69, 70-74, 75 & Over & Neufy Division. Plaque Award for men's and women's overall winners and men’s and women’s masters. Winner Medal Award for top three men & women in each age group. All 5K participants will receive a finisher medal for completing the race. All Kids K participants will receive a kid friendly finisher medal and ice cream treat.
Race Signs - $15 each
Race signs $15 - Unlimited. Placed on White Pine Trail to encourage your runner or just to say who you are running for! You let us know what you would like written on the sign and Mitchell's Run designers will artistically create your sign and place it on the trail Saturday morning before the race.
Three options to order: 1- Online option during registration 2 - Contact us at info@mitchellsrun.org. and pay via venmo 3- Place your order and pay with cash, check of venmo on Friday evening, at packet pick up.
