Valley Thaw Out Races

You are not imagining this: yes, it's the SAME information we had here for the (attempted) 2020 event!  As always, please use the link on this page to navigate to our main website for all the race details.  Dates and location have changed, times have not.  We are also going with another amazing hoodie for the 2021 race (design still stored in my brain for now.)

Spring in the MatSu Valley... can you think of a better reason to get out there and kick off the racing season with a bang?  Come celebrate the beginning of longer daylight, milder weather, less snow and ice, and just all things that are beautiful Alaska summer with us.  

What's your distance?  Valley Thaw Out Races offers you the option of 5k, 10k, or half marathon!  All three events start and finish at Zero Lake up near Willow.  Staggered start times ensure most runners won't feel alone out there.  We're going a tad more remote this year but that just makes it even more Alaskan!

For the 2021 event:  should the world implode yet again or anything else out of our control mean it's not happening... well, that's just too much list making and deferring for our liking.  In that case, we will issue refunds of the registration cost.  This does not apply if you simply change your mind.  Disaster: refund.  Change of heart: no refund.
