Dear friends,
Out of an abundance of caution, we have made the decision to cancel this year's Arts & Hearts 5K. We apologize for any inconvenience and would like to thank all those who contributed their time and efforts to the cause, particularly race co-founders Susan Opelka & Julie Slick and Randy & Beth Houle at Southern Timing & Race Results. We are definitely planning/hoping to be back strong in 2021!

Description
Join us for the 2nd Annual Arts & Hearts 5K for Covenant House!
Held in beautiful Audubon Park, this race will again benefit the brave and resilient young people at Covenant House. Your race fee will be used to provide a food, clothing, shelter, medical care, education, job training & placement, absolute respect, and unconditional love to hundreds of homeless and runaway youth and children seeking refuge from abuse, violence, and trauma at Covenant House. You will be providing opportunities to transform their lives and put them on a path to independence.
All finishers will receive a beautiful handmade pottery medal.
All Preregistered racers by September 8th are guaranteed a customized cooling towel.
Awards are created by local artisans including potters, photographers, metal-smiths, water colorists, bakers, and more. Hang on to your bib after the race for the chance to win additional art if your lucky bib number is called.
Bring your children and enjoy a beautiful morning in the park!
Bib pickup and registration at Louisiana Pizza Kitchen on Carrollton on Thursday, September 10th from 5:30-8 where you can meet the artists and other donors!
(However, cooling towels are not guaranteed if registered after September 8th.)
Late sign-up will also be available both at LPK Uptown and at the starting line prior to 8am.
