About The Race

In November of 2017, The Race presented by The Unity Collective Kickstarter campaign to #BackTheRace was announced. 

Throughout the 6 week campaign, over 700 runners/walkers/supporters eagerly made history by becoming backers to kickstart the funding and vision of The Race. 

And...October 11 - 14, 2018 the Unity Collective hosted an inaugural race event like NO other! Participants came from all over to run, support, and give back to black owned businesses, neighborhoods, and charities.

October 3-6th The Race 2019 #Impact + #Elevate was successfully executed!

The Race 2020. A half marathon weekend event that supports black owned businesses, neighborhoods, and charities taking place in Atlanta, GA | October 1-4th, 2020. We are committed to delivering a top-notch, world-class, road race with excellence at every step.

Charitable Impact

The Race will positively impact the community in the following manner:

• Service projects will be organized and executed in partnership with local charities and organizations, City of Atlanta, runnningerds serves, and others.

• The community will be actively engaged in the course planning and volunteer opportunities.

• The Race half marathon weekend will conclude with a Charitable Impact Service Project and Wrap Up Party on Sunday, October 4th!

• $5 of EVERY race registration fee will put into a Charitable Impact Fund and given directly to community charities and organizations within the neighborhoods we run through and that support The Race initiative.

November 29th - December 31st -  Early Kick Off Registration $75 (5K $30), VIP add on $50

January 1st - July 31st: Registration $80 (5K $35), VIP add on $50

August 1st - August 31st: Registration $90 (5K $35), VIP add on $50

September 1st - September 15th: Registration $95 (5K $40), VIP add on $50

September 15-October 2nd: Registration $100 (5K $45), VIP ADD ON CLOSED

Online Registration ends Tuesday, September 29th 12noon!

Remaining Registration will be available at The Race Expo on October 2nd 11am-5pm  

5PM will be the firm cuttoff for registration, category changes, and transfers at The Race Expo.

There will be NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION!!!!!

 

TRANSFERS & CATEGORY CHANGES: Updates to your registration (transfers, upgrades, downgrades, shirt size selection, contact information, etc.) can be done through your registration confirmation MY EVENTS portal on active.com until September 29th at 12noon. General registration transfers will be charged the current price of registration, and original registrant will be refunded what they paid. Upgrades will be charged the difference of what was paid and the current price of the registration. There are no refunds for downgrades. 

For person to person transfers:

• Initiate the transfer from your MyEvents.active.com portal by logging in with the same username and password used to register for the event
• Choose “TRANSFER REGISTRATION”
• Enter the email address of the new participant
• Once they’ve completed their registration and paid the current price, the original participant will be refunded, minus any transfer fee
• NOTE: If you were originally registered by someone else, you will need to login to MyEvents.active.com to claim your registration first, before transferring it
• Use the registration ID number in the confirmation email you received to claim your registration

 

Transferring to another category:

• Login to MyEvents.active.com with the same username and password used to register for the event
• Select “CHANGE CATEGORY” and complete the required info
