Ram Run 5K/1-Mile Fun Run, hosted by Grace Christian Academy.

Race Starts and Ends on the GCA Campus in the Karns Community (5914 Beaver Ridge Road, Knoxville, TN 37931)

Date: Saturday, October 24, 2020

Time: 1-Mile Fun Run: 8:30 AM, 5K: 9 AM. Course will re-open to traffic at 10:30 AM (or sooner if all participants have crossed the finish line).

Parking: Parking will be available in Grace Christian Academy’s parking lot A. This is the big parking lot located in the front of the church and school. You will need to enter the campus through the main red light, located by the sanctuary. (Across from McDonald’s and Home Federal Bank). Once you turn into the campus, a volunteer will direct you into parking lot A. You cannot access the parking lot via Dyestone Gap or Beaver Ridge Road (at Bojangles and the Karns pool/playground/ball fields), the road will be closed for the course.

Registration/Packet Pick-up: Optional early bib/shirt pickup is available on Thursday, October 22nd, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Grace Christian Academy’s Upper School lobby (5914 Beaver Ridge Road, Knoxville, TN 37931). Turn up the Upper school entrance/road located between the Grace Student Ministry building and the Athletic fields (NOT Dyestone Gap Road). At the top of the entrance/road, you will see the Upper School building. Packet pick-up will be located inside the lobby. Race day registration will be from 7:30 AM – 8:15 AM and will be outside of the Grace Student Ministry building, located near parking lot C and the start/finish line.

Course: The 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run will start on the campus, in between the lower school entrance and parking lot A. The course will be closed to traffic starting at 8:00 AM and will re-open at 10:30 AM (or earlier if all participants have crossed the finish line).

5K: This is an out and back course. You will run/walk through the GCA Campus, down Beaver Ridge Road, turn around at the Karns pool/playground/ball fields, and head back to the finish line. BE CAREFUL on the road leading up to the Karns pool/playground/ball fields! This road is gravel, very rough, and has speed bumps! A water stop will be located near the turn around.

1-Mile Fun Run: This is an out and back course. You will run/walk through the GCA Campus to the 4 way stop at Dyestone Gap and Beaver Ridge Road, where you will turn around and head back through the campus to the finish line.

T-shirts: Short-sleeved. Participants that registered prior to October 12th are guaranteed a shirt and goody bag. After October 12th and race day registrants are “as supplies last.”

Awards: 5K Awards ceremony to be held at 10:00 AM. Awards to the overall male and female. Awards to the top female/male Masters (40+), Grandmasters (50+), and age division awards are three deep. Age divisions will be 10 year increments (1-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+). Overall winners are not eligible for age division awards. Awards are based on chip time.
