Join us for the 2020 OK5K! This is a family friendly, chip-timed, community run/walk 5K located in the Oak Knoll neighborhood in northeast Minnetonka. This non-profit event is aimed at uniting the Oak Knoll neighborhood in a spring 5K with all net proceeds supporting the local metro area ICA Food Shelf to help end local area hunger.
Course:This chip timed 5K race starts and finishes in the Oak Knoll Lutheran Church parking lot and features a relatively flat, meandering course through the neighborhoods and parks of northeast Minnetonka and southeast Plymouth. Strollers will be permitted for walkers, please line up toward the back of the group based on estimated pace. No pets allowed to help maximize safety of all participants.
COVID precautions and related race adjustments:
The participant limit for the OK5K will be capped at 200 (if registration is still open online this limit has not been reached).
We will be instituting a staggered start based on participant estimated pace per mile to physically distance runners/walkers at start.
Walkers are encouraged to wear masks.
Packet pickup and all event related activities will be outside. Limited and staggered restroom access will be available inside Oak Knoll Lutheran Church on race day.
Except for the finish, no water stations will be provided on the course.
Bib/Shirt pickup: All race bib pickup is race day from 7:00-7:45am. Race starts at 8:00am. All participants who pre-register on September 10th or before will receive a finisher T-shirt. Sizes and availability may be limited and first come first serve for race day registrants.
Parking: Race day parking can be found in the Oak Knoll Lutheran Church lot at 600 Hopkins Crossroad, Minnetonka; also additional parking in a small lot 1 block west of the church on Fairfield Road in Oberlin Park lot.
Results:Results will be posted as available at the finish area as well as online and emailed following the event.
