This is Starry Night Knoxville’s 6th annual race to cure the kids! We have 3 choices: 8.5k, 5k, or 1 mile walk/ run! This will be a live race at Ijams Nature center with the School of Rock playing around 3 p.m. along with food trucks for spectators. Join us in raising money and awareness for pediatric brain tumor patients by supporting the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and our local East Tennessee Children's Hospital.
Every day, 13 children are diagnosed with a brain tumor in the U.S. with 28,000 kids living with a brain tumor diagnosis. Our son, Brody, was one of those but fortunately he is a survivor. Brain cancer is the deadliest of all childhood cancers and we are determined to change that so that all children may thrive. This year, all proceeds and donations will go towards purchasing state-of-the-art MRI goggles for our local East Tennessee Children's Hospital. These goggles, typically at larger hospitals, make it less stressful and easier to undergo long MRI's without sedation! Together, we are making a difference and have donated over $122,000 to date.
Pick-up is on 11/13 from 2-4:00 at Albright Grove Brewing Company on 2924 Sutherland Ave 37919.
A huge thank you to our presenting sponsor, Weigel's. Together, we are funding research, building community, and creating hope. 100% of your registration cost is donated thanks to our sponsors!
