It’s home to Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, the birthplace of Hope For The Warriors and the site of the very first Run For The Warriors. Whether we gather in person or virtually, this 5K and half marathon is the grassroots of HOPE.

Since the organization’s beginning, Hope For The Warriors has engaged communities across the country through its Run For The Warriors series.

These in-person races raise support for the post-9/11 warrior community and bridge public understanding of the warrior journey. And when social distancing is necessary to keep our runners healthy, we have a virtual option that provides you freedom to choose who, where and how far you run. Both options focus on building a community of support for our country’s active duty and veterans, military families and caregivers, as well as Gold Star Families and families of the Fallen.

For those injured in service to our country, that journey starts with the First Mile.

And for those who gave the ultimate sacrifice, we honor and remember the lives given and the families who carry on their legacies of service.

Our goal is to motivate a country to remain active — both physically and in their ongoing support of military families.
