Souper Bowl 5K Run/Walk and Kids Fun Run
After much thought, consideration, talking with the health department, and talking with the program director at Atwood Lake Park, I have decided to cancel the Souper Bowl 5K Run/Walk and Kids Fun Run for Saturday, November 14, 2020, because of all the stipulations that are in place due to covid 19. I thank all of you for your past support and look forward to being able to have this event next year. Please, save the date, Saturday, November 13, 2021. Thanks for your understanding.

Description
Is at the beautiful scenic Atwood Lake Park. Lake views will be included in the race route where possible. The course is mostly paved with some packed crushed limestone on the race route. Due to the width of the race route, please no strollers or dogs. The race will be timed. The starting and finish line will be in close proximity to each other and to the parking lot. After race participants complete the race, you will be served your choice of 3 kinds of homemade soups and awards will be presented. This race is a fundraiser for Harsh Memorial and Kilgore United Methodist Thrive Youth Group, ages 12 through 12th grade, for their activities throughout the year and for a mission project to provide water to villages in Senegal, Africa.
