Event Description
The Spirit of America 5K Fun Run/Walk 2020 which is now in its 18th year, and is now hosted by the Phillips Lions Club and is a part of the 4th of July festivities in Phillips, WI. The race attracts close to 350 runners and 550 walkers. Many families make “The Spirit” an annual event. The course runs through business and residential areas of the City of Phillips. The race began fifteen years ago as a way to encourage people and families to exercise and spend time together in a fun and healthful way. Funds from the run/walk will be used by the Lions Club to help build and maintain the Elk Lake Park Stage.

Event Start Times: 8:30 a.m.
Registration and Packet Pick-up
Registration can be either online or by downloading the form and sending by mail. Pre-registration fee is $10.00 per individual or $40.00 for a family (limit 5). On the race day the fee increases to $15.00 per individual and their is no family rate available. Race packets can be picked up at the Phillips VFW Hall 306 S Lake Ave (Hwy) 13 on Friday, July 3rd from 11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or the day of race prior to 8:15 a.m. at the Phillips VFW Hall. Race day registration runs from 7:15 to 8:15 a.m. Electronic chip timing for runners only. T-shirts will be guaranteed for all who register by June 18th and will be available as supplies last to all others.
Prizes
Trophy awarded to the 1st male and 1st female runner to cross the finish line.
Medals are awarded to the top three males and females in each age group. 7 & Under; 8-10; 11-13; 14-16; 17-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 and over
