Description

Join us on Saturday, August 22nd, 2020 for the 4th annual Glendale Police Department 5k Run or 2-Mile Walk to raise funds for the Glendale Police Department Community Outreach and Crime Prevention Programs.  Our police department is extremely involved in our community and we provide programs and events such as "Shop with a Cop", Citizen’s Police Academy, Chili Cook-Off, Community Bike Rodeo, teaching the D.A.R.E. curriculum to the 5th grade students at Glen Hills Middle School as well as the  "Officer Friendly" Program at Parkway Elementary School.  It is through events like our annual 5k run that we are able to fund these programs and continue to provide these services to the residents and children of our community.  

We welcome runners and walkers of all ages and abilities to participate in either the 5k run or 2-mile walk.

7:00am-7:45am:  Race day registration and packet pickup
7:50am-8:00am: Welcoming/Announcements
8:00am: Kids Dash-Free (Kids 10 and under) 
8:15am: Pre-race warm-up 
8:30am:  5k Run/2-Mile Walk

Course:
The 5K run will be chip timed and will start and end at Richard E. Maslowski Park, utilizing the Oak Leaf Trail.  The walkers will also start and finish at the 5K run start and finish.  **Please know this could change based on the COVID-19 health pandemic**

*Registration Fees*:
Due to the COVID-19 health pandemic, the cost of the registration will be $20.  The registration fee will not increase.  

PLEASE NOTE: ONLINE REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE AT MIDNIGHT ON AUGUST 20th, 2020!  YOU MAY STILL REGISTER AT THE EVENT ON AUGUST 22nd. 
*Register by August 7th, 2020 in order to be guaranteed a t-shirt (Gildan DryBlend).  We are offering a Performance Tee or Tank Top (Moisture Wicking) this year for a $5.00 additional fee if you choose.*

AGE GROUPS & AWARDS: Awards to the top 5k runners in each, 5 year, age group and the overall male and female finishers.  **Please know this could change based on the COVID-19 health pandemic**

PACKET PICK-UP:
