Description

The Beach Classic 5K Run was formally know as the Friends and Family Beach Run. Same event, just a new name to piggy back the youth duathlon that takes place earlier in the morning. Come join us for a low key, self timed event to support those in need in our community. Participants get to chose a 5K run or 2 mile walk on the beach.  The give away is a BEACH BAG and not just another tee shirt.  Awards go to top 3 male and female overall and age group winners. REGISTRATION and PICK UP Saturday  4-5 PM  inside Community Hall and race day 8:30-8:55AM at the entrance to the 29th Street Surf Side Park. The run starts and finishes at 30th Street and the Beach. Turn around for the 2 mile walk is @ 48th Street, and the 5K turn around is @ 58th Street. 

The Avalon Beach Classic Duathlon is celebrating 13 years of youth racing and is taking place just before the 5k run. Kids ages 7-15 start racing at 7:30 am. It is a 1k boardwalk run, 5k bike,  1k boardwalk run. Come out and make it a fun family day of racing in Avalon!
