Description

Newton Parks & Recreation is hosting the 31st Southern Biscuit 5K Run / Walk & 1-Mile Fun Run in conjunction with celebrating Soldiers Reunion Week. This course starts and finishes at the Newton Recreation Department in Downtown Newton. Please make plans to join us on Saturday, August 22nd at 8 a.m for the Fun Run and 8:30 am for the 5K.

Online registration is open through 11:59 pm on Wednesday, August 19th. Race Day Registration will be offered. Race shirts are guaranteed to the first 300 registered participants.

Awards
Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 Overall male & female finishers.  Awards will go to the top 3 male and female 5K finishers in the following age groups:

Age Divisions (Male & Female) 11 & Under, 12-15, 16-19, 
20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+ 

Veterans (Male & Female) 25-49, 50-69, 70-79, 80-90, 90+

Fun Run (Male & Female) 11 & Under, 12-15, 16 & Over

Packet Pick Up will be at the race venue between 7 am to 8:15 am.
