We’re BACK and REGISTRATION IS OPEN!

We are so excited to announce our return for a third year of fun at the wonderful venue of the Finger Lakes Museum and Aquarium in Branchport, NY.   With your help, we hope to make our 2020 event even bigger and better!  We moved the race to Sunday of Columbus Day Weekend to enjoy the great fall colors and other festivities in the Finger Lakes at that time.

However we want to assure you that the Life is a Journey planning team is closely monitoring the corona virus situation and guidance we get from state and local officials. Based on the information available at this time, the Life is a Journey is being planned as scheduled. Should there be any changes to this event we will notify participants via email and Facebook.  If for some reason, we cannot hold a live event, we are investigating the option of enabling you to run a "Virtual Race" at the time and place of your choice.

Our thoughts are with those people struggling through these ever-changing times. We are looking forward to this Fall and the ability to join together again in a celebration of life.

In the meantime - what can you do for the event?

· Continue to spread the word! Life is a Journey Registration is OPEN. Let's get people looking forward to this Fall and registered for those races.

· Stay calm, wash your hands, and pray for a quick resolution to this pandemic.

NEW FOR 2020!

For 2020, our goal is to more than DOUBLE the participation at last year’s event.  To accomplish this, we will build from the foundational elements our prior participants found most memorable .  These include:

• the 5K & 10K Walk/Run, using the same out and back course, with its gently rolling hills, verdant farm fields and Finger Lakes beauty on full display,


• a Kid's Fun Event, free of charge


• our energetic on-course support volunteers providing safety, hydration and an abundance of encouragement, 


• mood-setting start/finish-line musical entertainment, 


• an opportunity to dedicate your run in memory of a loved one by placing a ribbon in their honor on a Memorial Tree, 


• access to a range of post-race refreshments,


• generous race swag, including a medal for all finishers.
