Our VIRTUAL 37th annual race will take place from Feb. 14-28, 2022!

• Option to purchase a T-shirt with your registration for an additional fee, or sign up without the shirt.


• 
  RunSignup Referral Rewards: If three participants sign up for the race using your referral code, you will receive a $5 refund! 


• All participants will be entered into the prize drawing.


• $10 off $100 in-store coupon for Fleet Feet (Aptos or Monterey), good 2/14/22 through 3/31/22. Coupon is non-transferable and will be emailed to participants in February. 


• Did you know that RunSignup allows participants to create their own social teams to run the event together (or from a distance) for fun? Please reach out to [email protected] for any questions you may have. (These are not competitive teams.)


• 
  Group running opportunity on Sat. February 19th at 8am with the Fleet Feet Fun Run on the Monterey Rec Trail! (optional)
  
  
  
  • Meet at 8am at the Fleet Feet Monterey store (472 Alvarado St.) The group will head out together toward the rec trail.
  
  
  • There will be a Karhu shoe demo that morning, and you can try out a pair of demo shoes on your run if you'd like to!
  
  
  • The course will be pre-marked for 5K and 10K runners. However, there will not be a timing representative so please keep track of your time or use RaceJoy if you plan to submit your results.
  
  
  • Fleet Feet will raffle off a training program entry for participants on this day!
  
  
  
  

 

TWL Photo contests:

There are 4 TWL photo contest categories:

1. Pets
2. Best selfie (must be a selfie that you took of yourself)
3. Most unique location 
4. Most "together-with-love-ish" photo (something that screams "Together" and/or "Love") 

How to enter the photo contest(s):

• E-mail your photo by 2/28/22 at 11:59pm to: [email protected] with subject line: "TWL Photo Contest: ____" (fill in the blank with the name of the category you are entering. For example, TWL Photo Contest: Pets).


• Include your name and mailing address in the email message so we can match it with your registration info.


• You are encouraged to post the photo on Instagram and/or Facebook with hashtag #TWL2022 and tag us @mtryrapecrisis


• Winners will get a prize! We will mail it or email it to the contact info you provided. 


• Please limit to: One photo per email / One category per photo (you cannot submit the same photo to multiple categories) / One photo per category (an individual may not submit multiple photos within the same category. However, you may enter separate photos to more than one category!)


• Submission of a photo into the contest implies your consent for MCRCC to publish the photo in public spaces such as our website, e-newsletter, future TWL fliers, and social media platforms.

 

Prize drawing:

The ever-popular prize drawing will still be happening as it does each year, and lucky participants will be chosen at random during the first week of March following the race! All participants are eligible for the drawing. Prizes include: gift certificates for golf at the Pebble Beach course "The Hay," Nepenthe, Scheid Wines, Skin by Cilla, Trolley Car Grill, an overnight stay at the Portola Hotel, and more!

 

Run from anywhere!

Choose a day and time between Feb. 14-28, and upload your time (or just run/walk for fun and post a few pics with #TWL2022 on FB/IG! Tag us @mtryrapecrisis.)

Participants can use the free RaceJoy app on a mobile device (optional) to track their course and automatically upload their time to our results page. There are many other benefits to RaceJoy including redoing your run to try for a better time, sending your friends notifications when you are running your race, and allowing them to send you virtual cheers. Runners can alternatively submit their time manually on the results tab, using their bib number. Click "Submit Virtual Results" on the results page. As was mentioned previously, it is not mandatory to upload a time at all.

See above for information about the Fleet Feet Fun Run on Saturday, Feb. 19 at 8am in Monterey. If you wish to run with other participants, this is a great option! There won't be a timing person there, so you will still need to keep track of your time and/or use RaceJoy if you wish to upload your results.
