13th Annual Run in the New Year 5k

Join us as we kickoff the New Year with a wonderful, refreshing 5k run/walk! The race will start and end at St John’s UCC.  It will travel down Mechanic St and wind thru festive downtown Jackson.  The race route will bring you back to the church, where a warm hall and refreshments will be waiting for all runners.  

St John’s UCC hosts this annual event to raise funds for local outreach programs in Jackson.  We provide food, early childhood and parental needs, educational opportunities and support to hundreds of local residents.  Our programs touch thousands of lives each year and your support helps us continue this important community work!

EVENT INFORMATION

When:  Friday, January 1, 2021, 10:00 AM Start (Doors open at 8:30 AM)

Where:  St John’s UCC, 801 S Mechanic (corner of Mechanic and Biddle St)

Special pricing for Groups/Families: Register 3 or more people at the same time and save $3 per participant.

18 and under only $20!

First 100 entries guaranteed “Run in the New Year” t-shirt

Awards: Top male and female in each age category will be awarded a home-baked pie!  Second place male and female in each category will be awarded a “better luck next year” cupcake!
Age Groups: 18 & under, 19-26, 27-35, 36-45, 46-55, 56-64, 65 & over

Packets will be available the morning of the race at sign-in at the church. 

The race will be professionally chip timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Results will be available during the race and posted afterwards at Playmakers.com.
