Please join us for our 2nd annual Northwest Ohio CASA Be a Hero 5k! Superhero costumes are highly encouraged! 
CASA is a nonprofit organization that utilizes trained, community volunteers to advocate for children experiencing abuse and neglect. 
Proceeds from this event will benefit Northwest Ohio CASA by supporting volunteer recruitment and training in Defiance, Henry, and Williams Counties. 
Join us in being the voice for children in our local community. 

Location: 
The CASA Be a Hero 5k and CASA Kids Superhero Course will take place at the Defiance Reservoir located at 1107-1149 Precision Way, Defiance, OH.
Parking:
Please park on the corner of Kibble and Winn Rd (near the sledding hill and pavilions at the Reservoir) 
Packet Pick-up and Day of Registration:
Packet pick up and day of race registration will begin at 7:30am and end at 8:15am. Find your packets under the pavilion near the finish line. (Don't worry, we will have volunteers directing you to this area.) 
Start Times: 
The CASA Kids Superhero Course will begin promptly at 8am. 
The 5k will begin at the top of the reservoir at 8:30am sharp! This is a timed event. 
Awards:
Awards will take place at approximately 9:30am

FAQ:
Can I walk? Absolutely! You can walk, run, skip, crawl... Whatever you need to do to get to that finish line! 
Can I push a stroller? YES! We just ask that you start towards the back of the crowd at the start. Be aware that the first half of the race is on crushed gravel. 
Can I bring my dog? Yes! We just ask that your dog is friendly and leashed during the event. (no retractable leashes, please!)
Are kids allowed to register? OF COURSE! Superhero costumes are encouraged!

All preregistered participants will receive a t-shirt, goody bag, and a finisher's award. T-shirts will be limited for late registrations. 
Light snacks and drinks at finish.
