Max's Race will partner with The Davies Project in 2021 for our 16th annual 5k run/walk on the beautiful campus of Michigan State University.  Participate in-person  or virtually. Virtual participation could include running, walking, biking, swimming or kayaking in a place near you. Consider a scavenger hunt of Max's favorite things such as the moon, the color orange, or MSU's mascot Sparty to honor the legacy of Max who passed away at the age of 6 due to complications from meningitis. 

Proceeds from the event will support free round-trip rides to medical appointments for children facing serious health challenges.

All participants receive a short sleeve t-shirt and finishers medal.

Special family/group pricing: Register 3 or more people at the same time and save $5 per person. Valid for the 5k.

Awards: Overall awards to top male and female finisher.  Awards to top 3 in each 5 year age group: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and over. Virtual times will not be counted toward age group awards.

T-shirt: Participants registered prior to June 1, 2021 are guaranteed a race t-shirt. T-shirts available after that date as supplies last.  Youth sizes available for all events! 

Packet pickup: Friday, June 25th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at The Davies Project. Race packets can be shipped, starting June 18th for $8.

Race Day packet pickup: 7:30 am to 8:00 am morning of the race in front of the MSU Auditorium

Race Day Open/Flexible Start Time: To ensure proper social distancing, the race will not have a congregated start. Participants can chose to start their race anytime between 8AM and 8:15AM. Start the race anytime in that 15 minute window. When the starting line is free of other participants feel free to start the race. Your chip time does not start until you cross the starting line. 

Registration ends June 25th: There will be no race day registration available.

The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Results will be posted during the race and online at Playmakers.com.
