The 9th annual Tryptophan Half Marathon has become a north Georgia tradition to begin Thanksgiving Day festivities. Before digging into their Thanksgiving feast, runners will work up their appetite participating in one of the three distances: Half Marathon, 10K, or 5K. Race day is Thursday, November 26, 2020.
Race is chip-timed and registration includes a finisher medal for all distances, FREE photography, long sleeve race tee, and flat course!!!
New for 2020! Due to repair work on the Big Creek Greenway throughout 2020, we're creating the flattest road route in Forsyth County! Watch for updates as we unveil a new exciting road race for Thanksgiving Day Thursday, November 26, 2020. Get ready to explore South Forsyth County!
Participants are encouraged to sign up early – there is a participant cap for all distances due to limited space on the Big Creek Greenway. Carpooling is also suggested as the parking lot at Fowler Park could fill up quickly. Those who register by 11/20 are guaranteed a race t-shirt. Due to the high volume of runners/walkers and the limited space, no dogs, baby strollers, bikes, or skates will be allowed.
Packet pick-up is on Tuesday, 11/24 and Wednesday, 11/25 11am to 7pm at Totally Running, 6345 Halcyon Way Suite 820, Alpharetta, GA 30005 Packet pick up is also available race day starting at 6:30 am. No identification necessary to pick up packets. You may pick up packets for friends and family.
