The Elvis Presley 100 Mile Virtual Challenge.

This year's race is more important than ever. Without the support of the community many adults with disabilities will not have access to receive an education and the tools that allows them the opportunity to thrive within our community. Run / Walk anywhere to log your 100 miles.

The Elvis 100 Mile Virtual Challenge allows you to run/walk anywhere to record your miles.  Beginning on June 7th and you have until August 16th (10 weeks) to to log your100 miles and receive the 2023 Elvis 100 Mile Challenge shirt and finisher medal.

Over 10 weeks, you can log 100 miles to form a healthy habit or log 400 miles to be among the top leaders on leaderboard. 

As you log your miles, you will be able to track your progress as well as your friends along the route. This a great way to log your training miles.

Start: 306 Elvis Presley Dr, Tupelo MS

Your virtual race will start at 306 Elvis Presley Dr. in Tupelo MS. 
It is the birthplace of Elvis Presley. Elvis Aaron Presley was born in Tupelo, Mississippi on January 8, 1935 to Vernon and Gladys Presley. Born in a two-room house built by his father, grandfather and uncle. Elvis was one of twin brothers born to the Presley's. His brother, Jessie Garon, was stillborn.

Today the Birthplace is a historic museum site dedicated to the preservation of the birthplace of  Elvis Presley. It is listed on the Mississippi Blues Trail. 

 

Finish: The Graceland Mansion

Graceland was built in 1939 and once part of a 500-acre farm that was owned by the S.E. Toof family.. It was named after one of the female relatives, Grace.

In the spring of 1957, when Elvis Presley was 22, he purchased the home and grounds for just over $100,000. The previous year had been a whirlwind - it was Elvis' first year of super-stardom including historic network television appearances, record-breaking live performances and armloads of gold record awards.  

The estate was estimated to be worth between $400 to $500 million in 2020 according to Rolling Stone.

Build a Team

Whether you're a seasoned runner or just starting out, gather your friends, family, and colleagues and sign up for the race as a team. There's no better way to build camaraderie and team spirit than by tackling this challenge together! Each member will be logging their 100 Miles over the 10 week period. As team  captain you or other team members may be able to recruit team members for the  team and  "Run for Free"
