Join the Oakland community and enjoy a run in the Redwoods while raising money for PTA supported programs at Joaquin Miller Elementary. Wear a costume to get ready for Halloween (no scary costumes or costumes that can impede running/walking on a trail) or come in your best racing clothes. Racers of all ages and abilities will enjoy a 5k and NEW a 2k (1.25 miles) race through the trails of Redwood Regional Park. Race starts at the Owl Picnic Site. Directions to Owl Picnic Site in Redwood Regional Park: From Hwy 580 (San Leandro area), take Hwy 580 to Hwy 13. Exit Carson St/Redwood Rd, continue straight up hill which is Mountain Blvd. At the top of the hill veer to the right onto Redwood Rd, continue through Redwood Rd/Skyline intersection to Park entrance approximately 2 miles on left side.
