Are you ready for the 2024 BWC Spring Into Health 5K/1M?

With the Brunswick Wellness Coalition (BWC) committed to the health and wellness of Brunswick County, we want everyone to get moving! Individuals and team can participate. For teams, Create your team and appoint a team leader to cheer on the team; Ensure individuals register under your specific "Team" during online registration; Take and post photos at the event tagging #BeWellBrunswick; Engage participants in movement (walk, run, roll, or stroll).

Join in this year's TAKE THE LEAP! GO GREEN, GET HEALTHY theme for a little extra fun as generations come together to get moving. Dress in GREEN attire while embracing health. Add to the fun by creating a team wearing an array of 'greens' with you. 

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?  By February 20, Adult Early Bird Registration fee is $25; After February 20, Adult Registration fee is $35; Student Registration fee school-age 6-17 is $5; Children age 5 and under FREE 

If registered by February 20, participant will receive a t-shirt. After this date, there is no guarantee t-shirts will be available for registrants.

Simply walking every day for 30-60 minutes along with eating a predominately plant-based diet can have tremendous health benefits like more energy, improved mood and more consistent sleep patterns, better balance and coordination skills, stronger bones and muscles and better weight control. Choosing a healthier lifestyle can also reduce your risk of developing a chronic disease like diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure and cancer; and, if you have a chronic disease, adopting such a lifestyle can help you manage the condition and improve your quality of life. Bottom line, whoever you are and whatever  your age, each and every one of us should be more responsible for our health so let's make that commitment today - do it for the health of it.
